Is there an age restriction for getting on birth control with For the Girls Clinic?
For the Girls Clinic is not able to serve new patients under 18 years old at this time. If you are considering receiving care from another option or local provider, minimum age requirements for birth control vary by state. You must be at least 13 years of age to be considered, and state-by-state regulations may require that a patient be older in order to receive service. Please check your local laws for clarification. The risks of hormonal contraception increase for women age 50 and over, and your regular doctor is in the best position to help you safely manage your contraception needs. Does For the Girls Clinic replace my primary care provider?
For the Girls Clinic does not replace your primary care provider, but helps you avoid making multiple appointments by allowing you to access basic healthcare in a more convenient way. We encourage you to continue seeing your primary care provider, especially for annual checkups and the appropriate medical provider for urgent care.

Is receiving medications through For the Girls Clinic safe?
Yes, drugs prescribed and sent through For the Girls Clinic are prescribed using the same rules and medical standards as your family physician. A For the Girls Clinic™ medical professional will only prescribe a medication if it is safe to do so based on the information provided by the patient.

Does everyone who gets a prescription through For the Girls Clinic have the opportunity to talk to a doctor?
Yes. When you make your initial request you can let us know you want to chat with a provider. The best way to reach our medical team is through our secure messaging. If you need something urgently, you can also call us and we’ll connect you with a member of our medical team.

Where are your drugs sourced from?
Drugs are shipped directly from one of our partner pharmacies that is fully licensed to dispense and ship medications to your state. If you want, we can send your script to another pharmacy of your choosing, however you will have to pick up your prescription in person.

How do I get my medication automatically refilled?
For most services offered by For the Girls Clinic, your 6- month prescription allows for automatic refills from the time you begin using our service. We will send you two to three months worth at a time, unless you are paying with insurance and your insurance plan only allows us to dispense one month at a time.
If you previously requested that your prescription be filled at a local pharmacy and you now want to switch and have For the Girls Clinic fill your prescription and mail it to you, contact us at info@forthegirlsclinic.com.

Does For the Girls Clinic offer feminizing or masculinizing gender-affirming hormone therapy (HRT)?

Does For the Girls Clinic replace doctors?
For the Girls Clinic provides a new way for you to access care from licensed medical providers, but does not replace your relationship with an in-person physician. Because the medications we prescribe and tests we order do not require a physical examination, getting them through For the Girls Clinic is a safe and convenient option. When you make a request through our platform, it will be reviewed by a medical provider licensed in your state, who you can message to ask questions or get advice related to your prescription or test

Can I order a prescription or home test kit for someone else?
No. For legal reasons, we need the person who will use the medication or tests to create their own account with all their information (health, ID, and communication methods). If your friend or relative needs our services, please have them create an account or reach out to us at 832-786-9786 or info@forthegirlsclinic.com and we will be happy to assist them.

How do refills through For the Girls Clinic work?
For most prescriptions, For the Girls Clinic offers automatic refills for 6 months from the time you begin using the service. After 6 months, you must complete a medical consultation before your prescription can be renewed, and you will be charged another consultation fee at that time.

Where can I provide feedback or get in contact with For the Girls Clinic?
You can message us through the eClinicalWorks messenger. We are unfortunately not a live chat service at this time but we do make every effort to respond to messages we receive within 24 hours.

Why did I receive one pack of birth control instead of three?
If you used insurance:
Some insurance companies only cover 1 pack every month. In these cases, For the Girls Clinic™ will only ship 1 month at a time to make the most of your insurance benefits. For the Girls Clinic™ automatically refills your prescription on the earliest date that your insurance will allow to make sure you do not run out of your prescription.If you paid cash:
If you purchased 3 packs but only received 1 pack, please reach out to a For the Girls Clinic Customer Care representative within 10 days of the date your package is delivered and we will investigate. We are unable to resolve issues or questions with our partner pharmacies after the 10 day period. -
Can I get a refill before my next fill date?
If you are paying out of pocket:
Yes! Send us a message with the date by which you need your new refill and we will place the order. Insurance will generally prevent refills before the scheduled fill date, but without those constraints, you may refill as frequently as you like. Login to your For the Girls Clinic account to send us a message.If you are using insurance:
I lost my prescription
If you have lost your prescription, we will notify you and process your refill through your insurance at the soonest date they will allow. If you are concerned about this happening, you have two options:1) Call your insurance and request an earlier refill date. Once confirmed, please contact us with the approved fill date and we will place the order.
2) You can purchase 1 or 3 packs out of pocket to tide you over until the insurance will next cover it. Please send us a message if you would like to choose this option, and we can provide you with pricing.
I’m going on Vacation
You can try to get your order earlier for an upcoming vacation in one of two ways:1) You can call your insurance company and explain to them that you’ll be going on vacation, and request a “Vacation Override.” Once they approve this, send us a message and we can try to process the next order early.
2) You can purchase 1 or 3 packs out of pocket to tide you over until the insurance will next cover it. If you submit a receipt for this purchase, it is also possible insurance will reimburse you for part or all of the expense. Please login to your For the Girls Clinic account and send us a message if you would like to choose this option, and we can provide you with pricing.

Where do you mail prescriptions?
We mail prescriptions to all states that we currently are servicing patients in, which are Texas and Colorado. We hope to cover additional states in the near future.

Can I return a prescription?
No, you cannot return a prescription for credit or a refund. It’s against the law for prescriptions to be returned for resale or reuse.

Will I be able to track my shipment?
Yes. You will receive a tracking link when the order leaves one of our partner pharmacies. You can use this link to track your package and get updates on the status of delivery.

How is birth control from For the Girls Clinic shipped?
Contraceptives are delivered by USPS over 1-5 business days. No signature is required for delivery of birth control. The packaging is generally discreet, and there is no mention of For the Girls Clinic or a pharmacy on the outside of the envelope.

Why does my medication look different from last time?
If your prescription is for a generic, you may find that when you get a refill the pills or packaging look slightly different than your last pack. Please check the labeling of the package for the medication name. Please contact us if you have any concerns. Our priority is to make sure that we offer safe and reliable care.
